In Memory of Spot

Spot Spot2

From Spot's foster family:
Our Spot, a retired AARF dog, lost his fight against Kidney failure. Spot came to us shy and timid around people. He was battered and abused. His right ear was split in two with a large scar across it and another large lesion on his back.

After some time, Spot gained our trust and became a part of our family. He traveled to Philadelphia where he was fed bacon grease soaked pancakes and Uniontown, PA where he found kids are pretty cool. He attended a Flying Squirrels game and visited Bass Pro....not too bad for a thrown away hunting dog.

We're lucky and honored to have been given the opportunity to make his last year and a half the best part of his life.

Look not where I was
For I am not there
My spirit is free
I am everywhere

In the air that you breathe
In the sounds that you hear
Don't cry for me Mom
My spirit is near

I'll watch for you
From the other side
I'll be the one running
New friends by my side

Smile at my memory
Remember in your heart
This isn't the end
It's a brand new start
